a) Spiritual battle defines my STAND

• either a slave under sin or a master over sin

... no man can serve 2 masters Luke 16:13 

‒ no neutrality at battlefield

...not with ME is against ME. Luke 11:13

b) Spiritual battle decides my SUITABILITY Luke 9:62

3 volunteers, WHY NOT FIT?

• too difficult (costs)
• too divided (cares)
• too distracted (concerns)

c) Spiritual battle demands my SACRIFICE

• we are called soldiers at battleground of the Cross, not guests at playground. 2 Timothy 2:3; 1 Timothy 6:12
